Rome first destroyed Jerusalem in 70 A.D. Then in 365 A.D. it abolished the resting on Sabbath. Yet, it was one of the Ten Commandments.  For further explanation, click here.

A Medidation

For those Christians who obey this command, here is a Sabbath meditation.

Isaiah 58:13-14 "If thou turn away thy foot [on] the sabbath, from doing thy pleasure...not doing thine own ways, nor finding thine own pleasure, nor speaking thine own words: [that] thou shalt delight in Yahweh...I will make thee to ride upon the high places of the earth; and I will feed thee with the heritage of Jacob thy father: for the mouth of Yahweh hath spoken it."
